The January recruitment period is typically a period of significant rumour and potential major deals. Several prominent stars find themselves linked with transfers out of their present teams. Here is a look at some of the key names that might be on the move in January.

A. Semenyo

Although the Black Stars' failure to qualify for the AFCON, which has left the player available, reports suggest a major move is close. This Bournemouth attacker possesses a deal with a substantial release clause active for a two-week window in early January. Recent developments point to Manchester City look to have won the race for his services. The England centre-back has continued to impress for Crystal Palace this season a previous move to Liverpool falling through. This Welsh winger has found first-team minutes limited at Tottenham this term. Although finishing as the side's leading goalscorer the previous campaign, he has started just a handful of Premier League matches. Reports suggest the North London outfit is open to a transfer for the right valuation, thought to be in the region of forty million pounds. Bournemouth are currently at the front of the queue, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Brentford also credited with an inquiry.

R. Neves

The Portuguese midfielder could be poised for a comeback to the Premier League after a period in Saudi Arabia.
